British Isles Championships - Northern Ireland 2003

Llandrindod Wells Club is very proud of three of its members who made history recently at the British Isles Championships in Northern Ireland by winning three out of four competitions.

Betty Morgan won the Singles against Scotland by 21 shots to 12

Betty and Jenny Davies won the Pairs against Jersey by 32 shots to 17

Betty, Jenny and Margaret Hopkins won the triples against Ireland by 25 shots to 3

Betty is the first person to have won this hat-trick of titles in one year and this has attracted interest from the Bowls International magazine. She gave an interview and had her picture taken (shown below) with her large collection of trophies from a very successful career in bowling. The interview will appear in the August 2003 edition of the magazine.
